
Between November 3 and 5, 2005, the Lisbon Real Estate Exhibition (SIL) took place in Lisbon – Portugal, celebrating in its seventh edition an area and a record audience attended by more than 8,000 professionals and more than 15,000 visitors during the four days of the event. In order to promote the State of Bahia to international investors, the Bahia stand brought together both public and private personalities under the coordination of Consultório Imobiliário under the direction of consultant João Sampaio.
The Brazil space, which in 2004 had only 600 m2, this year obtained 1,500 m2 of exhibition area. This promotion demonstrates the importance and need to invest and promote our product to foreign audiences. The contacts generated during the event between Brazilian businessmen and the government of the State of Bahia were expressive and announce good developments for the coming months.
The stand of Bahia in the 7th edition of SIL had the strength and professionalism of several Brazilians who believe and invest in this destination such as: Marcos Freire from Grupo Fator, Fábio Araújo from Paraíso Empreendimentos, Joacy Goes Filho from Goes Cohabita, Luis Augusto Amoedo and Roberto Carlos Lopes representing ADEMI-BA, Geraldo Vilalva from Jornal Bahia Negócios, our partners Maria Cecília Bodas of Lugar no Brasil together with Luiz Fernando Sampaio from Yellow Group, Luiz Antônio Chaves from Lessa Ribeiro Engineering of Assessments and Caio Calfat from CJ & N Real Estate Consulting. In addition, the government of the State of Bahia had a very representative presence with distinguished participants such as: Paulo Souto – Governor of Bahia, José Luiz Perez Garrido – Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Mining, Cláudio Taboada – President of Bahiatursa, Roberto Muniz – Deputy State, Paulo Renato Dantas Gaudenzi – Secretary of Culture and Tourism, Érico Pina Mendonça Júnior – Superintendent of SCT / SUINVEST, Inez Maria Dantas Amor Garrido – Advisor of SCT / SUINVEST, João Gualberto Vasconcelos – Mayor of Mata de São João, Nicandro Macedo – Mayor of the Municipality of Vera Cruz, Cláudio da Silva Neves – Mayor of the Municipality of Itaparica and the entire government delegation, as well as the presence of the director of Consultório Imobiliário, the consultant João Sampaio.
The Governor of Bahia gave a lecture on the second day of the event at the InBrasil Conference to an estimated audience of more than 200 Portuguese and European entrepreneurs, under the theme Bahia, in which he highlighted the State of Bahia as the main destination for international investments in the field of residential tourism , hospitality and industry.
The Association of Portuguese Industry (AIP) promoted a dinner for 300 European businessmen in which a tribute was paid by Mr. Duarte Oliveira – Vice President of AIP to the Governor of Bahia Paulo Souto with the Outstanding Personality award at Salão Imobiliário de Lisboa. Participation in the Salão Imobiliário de Lisboa favors the image of Bahia to be consolidated as an organized and extremely attractive destination for foreign investors in Residential Tourism and Hospitality. The active participation of ADEMI-Ba, once again giving unrestricted support to the event, through its President Luis Augusto Amoedo and the Director of the International Area Roberto Carlos Lopes, has the main purpose of opening borders for the Real Estate Market of Bahia, which is in great need of investments in products that generate secondary market and promote the development of the State, through Real Estate Developments anchored in Hotel Products of different types. This type of enterprise effectively exploits the State’s tourism potential, generating wealth and income distribution through direct jobs in construction, as mainly in long-term jobs generated after the Completed Works of Hotels, Spas, Resorts, Inns, Shopping Centers, Conventions, Entertainment Centers like Opens Malls Markets that offer services and products for the complexes built. Just look at the example of the Sauípe and Praia do Forte complex. The Real Estate Office feels honored and optimistic in promoting this destination.
